Ocean Ash Scattering Ceremonies

Scattering ashes over the ocean is one of the most requested options. The vastness and tranquility of open water make for a symbolic and peaceful release.

However, federal law requires ocean ash scatterings to take place at least three nautical miles offshore, in accordance with EPA guidelines. We comply fully and only use flight operators equipped to perform releases over open ocean.

Pricing for destination ceremonies starts at $1,499 and varies depending on travel, permitting, location complexity, and flight restrictions.

To begin planning, we require a $500 nonrefundable deposit. This covers:

• Initial planning and timeline coordination

Your deposit is applied toward your final balance.
